PRIVACY POLICY – DRIVERQ

Protecting the privacy of our customers and users is a priority. This policy outlines the data we collect in the DrvierQ application, how and why it’s used, and who it is shared with.

Information You Provide During Setup

You provide the following information during setup of your account.

  • Your name – presented to both dealers and consumers to help them identify their driver.
  • Your photo – used to help dealers and consumers identify you as their driver.
  • Your phone # – used to identify the device we are communicating with and to facilitate communications between you, consumers, and dealers.  We do not share your real phone number with consumers.  Your phone number may also be used as your User ID
  • Your Email address – used as your User ID.  We do not share your email address.

Information You Provide While Using DriverQ

The following information is captured and shared while you are using DriverQ and in some cases while DriverQ is running in the background.  This information is available to RedCap staff for tracking and support as well as third parties which include automotive dealerships and repair facilities using the RedCap platform, their customers, and staff of transportation companies that employ and manage drivers using the platform.  Some information is also shared with third parties that provide services and technology supporting the process.  The specific ways this information is used and shared is outlined below:

  • Your Precise Location – We track your precise location when logged into DriverQ when you are using DriverQ and while it is in the background.  DriverQ is part of RedCap, a transportation focused platform, thus the collection and use of location data is critical to core functionality of the system.  Location is used in several ways as noted below:
      • To provide trip offers – RedCap uses your location to determine your eligibility to receive offers for trips.  Trips are only offered to drivers in proximity to the first stop of the trip.

    To provide driver tracking features

       – while a driver is actively on a trip, which occurs when a driver goes “en route” on a trip, DriverQ reports driver location.  This data is converted into live tracking maps displayed users of the platform and consumers so they know when their driver is arriving and can track pickup and delivery of consumer and dealership owned vehicles.
    • To provide trip history and related data – location data obtained by DriverQ is used to show historical details about a trip, including the route the driver took along with time and duration of each trip segment.
    • To ensure safe driving – for this item, data is shared with a third-party through a plugin.  This data is combined with other sensor data on the device to store route history and unsafe driving events such as using their mobile device, speeding, hard stops, and accidents.  The collection and reporting of this data is required by insurance providers used by RedCap, dealerships, and transportation companies.
    • To facilitate rideshare services – some transportation services require you to return via rideshare.  Your information is shared with these providers so they can locate you.
  • Photos taken during a trip from within the app – During the execution of a trip, DriverQ may require that certain photos are taken.  These photos are displayed to users of the RedCap dashboard, mainly automotive dealerships, support personnel, and transportation companies.  These photos are used to capture vehicle condition/damage, fuel levels, mileage, and sometimes to ensure that drivers are wearing the proper attire.  Vehicle condition photos are shared with third parties as needed for damage claims.  Only photos taken from within the DriverQ app during a trip are shared in this way.
  • SMS based communications between Drivers and Customers – DriverQ provides the ability for customers and drivers to communicate via SMS.  The communication is facilitated through a third-party SMS provider that also provides functionality to mask both the driver’s and customer’s phone number.  Communications conducted through this channel are stored and displayed to users of the RedCap platform.
